The Multiversal Realms — Ganar, Ketara, and Bowa
This universe is a special, fictional space wrapped in an aura. It focuses on the Bowa realm, the realm in which human life exists. The Bowa Realm, however, is not the only realm nor the first.
Time started with just the Ganar Realm, where Ganar beasts, also known as spiritual beasts, reside. Ganar beasts started as pure forms of aura mist that took on the general overall shape of common animals, but never had a hard-coded structure. These forms of theirs were dictated by ABP, or aura-bound properties, which is a unique coded energy in each living thing.
Over time, aura escaped from their bodies and unraveled into the second realm, which was later given the name the Ketara Realm. This is the realm that gave birth to DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid. In the Ketara Realm reside basic animals that are simpler versions of the Ganar beasts. Their existence was the first to showcase the evolution of DNA in the absence of ABP. In essence, it was how ABP itself was manipulated into a new form.
As the two coexisted longer, they began to pull at each other as there was no equilibrium. In turn, parts of each realm split and merged into a new realm called Bowa. In the new Bowa Realm, the first humans were born, and every new human gained both DNA and ABP.
Aura Binding Power (ABP) and Energy Systems
Humanity is now eons old, and many more realms have come forward since: some known and some hidden. Of the known is the Astral Realm and the Shallows Realm. The Astral Realm is where human souls travel after death. It is also where souls come from when new humans are born. This remains true for all living, man and animal alike.
The Shallows Realm is where corrupted beasts live. They are warped forms of the Ganar beasts. The realm formed from the accumulation of the negative energy coming from the Bowa Realm. Corruption of ABP did not exist in humanity before the creation of the Shallows Realm.
As for the hidden realms, they remain a mystery because they can easily come and go at any time. Most stem from any strong human emotion or manipulation. Just as easily as they can be created, they can be easily erased as they come and go with the instance that created them.
Corruption, the Accursed, and the Cost of Power
The world stands today as a mass of right and wrong, good and bad, to be or not to be. The Shallows have crept in, and now, when humans partake in their naughty, sinful nature, they reap the consequences.
All humans are born 100% clean with a lightish-blue/ white aura, known as the same ABP from Ganar beasts, spreading through their veins. Over time, if they aren’t careful, that ABP can go dark, known as corruption. If not handled in time and their ABP turns 100% black, they become what is called an Accursed.
To stop the progression, one must engage in a cleansing cycle. There is a global law upheld by the world government that the cleansing cycles must be free to the general public and easily accessible. Just because it is there, though, does not mean everyone actively takes part.
After someone reaches a certain level of corruption, their personality and emotions start to bend. Many become hostile, resistant, and outright distant. It’s because of this very reason that many still become Accursed.
Sorcerers, Demigods, and Lineage Families
There are two types of people in the world outside of Accursed. There is the general public, and then there are sorcerers. DNA determines the chemical structure of one’s appearance and behavior. It is ABP, though, that dictates the special powers one may have.
Every human has some unique power, but some have stronger, more enhanced, or more flexible abilities. Those are the humans who are often called sorcerers. Sorcerers are put in place to fight the rising population of Accursed.
They also have many important roles beyond just this. Sorcerers are put in places of power to protect and serve. Many teaching positions, world alliance operators, mercenaries, government positions, and many more positions are filled by sorcerers.
Global Power Structures and Realm Tensions
There is one important cornerstone of the Bowa Realm, and human evolution that exists. That pillar is known as the lineage families. Twenty demigods exist that encapsulate the fundamental properties of life. Of those twenty gods, twelve are paired as dual gods, while the remaining eight are solo. For each grouping, a lineage family must exist amongst humans to represent the realm.
At least one human for the dual demigods must be present, making that a minimum of six human representatives. All eight solo lineage families must also have an active heir. There are a few cases amongst dual lineage families where two representatives must be present rather than an optional two. The twenty standing foundational demigod titles: Life & Death, Time & Space, Tangible & Abstract, Order & Chaos, Creation & Ruin, Joy & Woe, Memory, Dream, Fate, Flow, Bond, Mentor, Culture, Exchange.
If a lineage family ever falls, another must take its place. However, the time it takes for a new family to be given the power takes any varying amount of time from months to possibly years. When a lineage is not active, the world will see the consequences of the missing power until it is filled.
For example, if life and death were to perish, stillborn and miscarriages would increase, while hospital beds would remain filled for longer.
The World Setting Before Book One
Beyond the structural concept, Kinawa itself is a beautiful and intriguing planet within Bowa that humans have spent forever cultivating. Only five countries are present today, with many smaller islands deemed as unclaimable land.
Each country has its own governing voice, but to keep the peace after many years of wars and conquests, a world government was formed. It remains a neutral entity composed of people from each country, and each member may no longer claim citizenship. They only govern global-scale matters. It is from their power that these isolated islands were given their context.
The islands with no title are rich in resources and are meant not to be monopolized. These sources are generous in their available resources as they regrow to 100% capacity over time, allowing for unlimited potential. The next problem relates to how quickly they will come back. The world government cannot stop the countries from traveling to the lands to harvest the resources, but a country could potentially camp out and hog the material still. So, a hidden law remains intact for these lands. That law is that there are no laws. All is permitted, and killing or pillaging are no exceptions.
